Create own ringtones for iPhone 3G

One of the many things that I never did before was actually customizing the phone. Neither of the songs that I really liked for ringtone (and were unique enough) were available of course. I found this website: http://audiko.net/en.html that allows to take an MP3 (one that you legally own, of course) and convert it to ringtone. Here is how it works: 1) Find a suitable MP3 2) Go to above website, upload MP3

It arrived

Mac #3 in our household (after Macbook and Macbook Pro): The beautiful 20", 4GB RAM, 750 GB HDD, about to replace the old tablet my wife was using and as school computer. PS: In the excitement of the event I forgot to publish this so it was sitting in Drafts until Saturday. Publishing with original date of the event - for the record. Funny enough, it is almost precisely the 10 birthday of the original iMac.

Test of the Wordpress and Smugshot applications for iPhone

Does it work ? We'll see - blogging from the train All the above - including the picture was created and posted on iPhone, using the Wordpress Application (thanks to Peter K. to make me aware of it). I have not used it much, but the first impressions are certainly positive: it works and allows to compose reasonable blog entry, including images on the go. As long as you are fast typist on the miniature keyboard - which I am not, so I will still prefer for longer text the great comfort of Macbook Pro keyboard (probably the best keyboard I have ever used so far).

Gmail is down - Sky is falling ....

This is what I get for last hour or so: It is so frustrasting when something taken for granted suddenly disappears ... and at the same time quite scary how dependent we became on it. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for GMails early return

Irony of anti-spam site: selling spam tools

There is great site 10 minute mail - which does exactly what it says. Provides you an email address that lives for 10 minutes and then evaporates. For this 10 minutes, you can read any email sent to it on the web page - and eventually renew it for another 10 minutes. Great way how to beat spammers and other email address collecting sites ... Here is how it looks like.
