Great way how to deal with telemarketers

and similar plague (for some reason they were pretty active last few days): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un_PjRXV5l8 I wish I could pull similar stunt - but I am not really a good actor and my accent would make it hard to believe. But it is hilarious anyway (video is a recording of phone call and contains text transcription ...). Enjoy. Thanks to Peter M. for the link. I would link his blog or home page, if he had one :-).

BOTD: Figuring out computer science

It is all about deep questions and problems computer science. Including the question whether such thing as computer science actually exists. I thing it does, but have occasional moments of doubts - mostly when I read something related to real science :-). What does Andreas Zwinkau (it is read as ts-win-cow, my anglophone friends ;-)) think about it, can be found http://focs.wordpress.com/ His comments are amazingly deep for such a young guy.

BOTD: Michael's Thoughts

Good selection of news, observations and comments on stuff that is happening around. There seems to be pretty good match between what Michael considers blogworthy and my areas of interest - as I found there lot of interesting pieces. It is mostly news - but not only news. It is worth browsing through archive, just to discover small jewels - like this one: If you had a top 7 tips list for managing the flood of digital information, what would it be?

Like Netmeeting - only much better

My current client is multi-national company, headquartered in Ottawa with offices in USA and Europe. With teams all over the globe, the conference calls and network meetings are part of the game. This usually means Microsoft Netmeeting to share the screen and teleconference bridge for voice. Netmeeting usually works quite OK - except when it does not - for no obvious reason :-). Thanks to Yugma, there is now better alternative.
